Dock Manager
Keeps Lenovo dock firmware current and reports dock data to WMI.

- What it is
- A utility you deploy to your ThinkPads that keeps attached Lenovo docks on current firmware and records dock data in WMI.
- Requires
- Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). The installer,
dock_manager_setup.exe, is on Lenovo Support. - Deploy with
- Configuration Manager or Intune. Configure it with Group Policy, or with ADMX templates and OMA-URIs in Intune.

How it works
Dock Manager reduces the effort of deploying dock firmware updates at scale, and it does quite a bit more than firmware. It runs on the PC and keeps a cache of the current firmware for supported Lenovo docks. When a dock with down-level firmware is attached, Dock Manager updates it automatically.
It can download firmware from Lenovo Support over the internet, or from a local repository on your network that you create and maintain with Update Retriever. Search Update Retriever by the dock's four-character machine type to find its latest firmware packages.
View and report
- Dock information and the full update history.
- Dock data in WMI, under
root\Lenovo\Dock_Manager, for remote queries: dock machine type, firmware version, MAC address, and connected devices such as monitors and USB devices.
Control and govern
- Full control of updates through Group Policy.
- Control which firmware is available through a local repository managed by Update Retriever.
